  2. Hi
Another 'Earthlight girl' here. Sally, Robin's friend who joined at Woodstock. Well I didn't even see the silly movie, but read somewhere enough of Elliot's stuff to realize the distortion and hostility. Who knows why.

I love what you're doing here! and would like to connect. I am still in contact with Robin. Peace & Love!

  3. Hey! Six months have passed and no up date here. What's happening? Bet you have some stories to tell. Great place to share some here and/or at http://www.timegoesby.net/ by Ronni Bennett. FWIW I enjoyed the class you recently conducted, plus time passed quickly.

I was not at Woodstock, but the blogger named above was.

  4. Hello Rachael,
My name is Lisa Marie and I am Gil Martinez's oldest daughter. He's the one holding the milk jug in the upper left corner of the "porch picture" below.
I had the pleasure of being with my dad during the best summer of my life and performing w/Darlene DiDemenico during Alice Tripping in Wonderland. My sister Robin and I were the "singing flowers". I was 10 years old at the time.
During a performance of the Beard an audience member asked my sister if our parents knew we were watching this....Robin, at that time seven years old, loudly proclaimed..."Lady, that's my Dad right there", pointing to him onstage while he asked Jean Harlow to "lick his boots". I have his tattered copy of the script with all his notes in the margins - I treasure it!
We ran the Lemonade and Hot Chocolate stand out front during the traffic jam on the way to Woodstock.
I was the pissed off child who stood just 10 feet from the stage during the opening prayers as my younger sister got stage fright and would not walk up the five steps to the stage. I remember Dad was taking off his gold shorts for me to wear onstage when Robin had a meltdown causing him to make me stay off stage with her....I have held that over her head for all these years and bring it up at all holidays! I still have an intact program from the festival.
I did follow in his footsteps and have enjoyed many years as a singer/actor.
I remember vividly the 3 days of the festival and how free we kids were; paper cone water cups filled with raisins just for the asking and a sea of dancing people. Working my way up to the front wall of the stage or the scaffolds, and being picked up by strangers for a better view of the icons on stage. My concert life as an adult has been enjoyable but nothing has ever come close to my time at Woodstock and my first summer stock experience with Earthlight.

    Happy Days!
    Lisa Marie
